Thanksgiving 2008

Our first Thanksgiving together was so fun! We had to wake up early to drive to my aunt and uncle's house in Kaysville. The Davies were kind enough to invite us to Thanksgiving dinner. All of the food was wonderful!

We snacked on stuff till we were pretty full and then went to chill on the lovesac while we were waiting for the turkey to finish cooking. Burt and I were only sitting there for a minute....right...we totally fell asleep for about an hour and a half. It was the first nap i've taken in months! It was so nice.

When all of our families were seated, (Mom, Dad had to work, Meagan, and Nathan) the Davies, of course, except Bryan who was working, Burt and I we began our feasting. I was so full, I could hardly move!

After supper we played a game. It was just random questions that were asked all around the table, such as "If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?", and "what are your best and worst qualities?" All of the questions got laughs, but one that i found especially funny was a question for Burt, keeping in mind that we've only been married two weeks, "What is your favorite activity to do with your family?" I, thiniking of a more intimate, one on one activity, smiled at Burt laughingly. He asked me, "What?" My response was, "I'm not saying..." Oh, my goodness! Burt eyes light up as he realizes what i was thinking, and he starts laughing. Aunt Pamela, Uncle Don and Mom start laughing too. Aunt Pam asks me, "So what is your favorite activity, Savanna? Why are you turning all red?" I simply repeated my answer, "I am Not saying!" Everyone was laughing at this point. So funny! We all had a great time!

We drove down to Mom and Dad's to get my scrapbook stuff and to wish Dad a happy Thanksgiving. Dad told us that he was going to compensate us for the amount that we spent on reception stuff as his wedding gift to us. It is a considerable amount of money and we were so excited and grateful to accept is generous gift.

When we got home, we made some chip dip and put on the Grinch That Stole Christmas while we strung popcorn and cranberries for our Christmas tree. :) It was such a cozy, fun evening. I just loved it! It feels just wonderful being married. I love having my best friend always with me. :)

Oh, and I almost forgot! We were able to sell our extra TV stand for $85 on craigslist! Yay! Now we have more room!
