So Cottonwood's Work Christmas party was supposed to be on Friday, but it was such a blizzard outside that we thought it safest for everyone if we cancelled. When Raquel told me we were cancelling it because of the bad weather, I started tearing up, and then she started tearing up. I'm thinkin, "Oh, man! Don't start crying more or I will really be a mess." In January, Raquel and Wendi both get transferred to a different property, Fox Point in Old Farm, while I have to stay and man the fort. This would be our last chance to see everyone all at the same time, still as our little Cottonwood Apartments family. As Raquel and I sat there crying, we came to the conclusion that we would move the party to today.
Thankfully most everyone was able to come, save it were Cliff and Merralee Wallace and Meagan and Jarin. We had pizza and pop, did a white elephant gift exchange, and played a round of Cranium. :) It was such a blast!
I selected the cutest package that was there. It was a candy cane striped bag with little fringe of white Christmas fur around the top. When I opened it however, inside was bottle of "Anti-Monkey Butt Powder." Lol, I have never laughed so hard. My manager had brought it and she must have this perception that I am some innocent little gal, because she seemed soooo embarrassed. Raquel, kept trying to get me to choose something else. :) I kept it! I thought it was sooo funny. John and Raquel won Cranium and we all had a blast playing it. :)
I am so glad that we all had this last night together before all of my staff transfers.
